(You will need
a narrator and two nerds.)
The narrator comes out and
tells the kids that they are going to watch four skits on love.
He then introduces skit number one.
Skit 1: Nerd A comes
out on stage, pretends to be working out for the Olympics, and then falls
down and hurts himself. While he is lying there, Nerd B comes out, notices
Nerd A lying on the ground, walks up to him, blows his nose on a handkerchief,
puts it in the hand of Nerd A, and then walks away. Nerd A gets up
and limps off.
The narrator then asks the
kids if that skit was a skit about love, and why not. (It wasn't love,
because he didn't do anything to help.) He then introduces skit number
two.
Skit 2: Nerd A comes
back out and falls down just like in skit one. Nerd B comes out, and again
sees Nerd A on the ground hurt, but this time he goes over to help. While
he is pulling him up though, he notices the time on his watch, and then
lets him drop back down to the ground, hurting Nerd A worse than before,
saying, "Look at what time it is. I am late for church." Nerd B then leaves,
and Nerd A gets up and limps out.
The narrator then asks the
kids if that skit was a skit about love, and why not. (It wasn't love,
because he only loved him 1/2 way.) He then introduces skit number three.
Skit 3: Nerd A comes
out and falls just like in skits one and two. Nerd B comes out and sees
him lying there hurt on the ground and goes over to help. He asks Nerd
A if he can pray for him. Nerd A says OK, so Nerd B gets down on his knees
and prays "God please send someone else to help this man. In Jesus'
name, Amen." Nerd B then leaves, and Nerd A gets up and limps off.
The Narrator then asks the
kids if that skit was a skit about love, and why not. (It wasn't love,
because the Bible says that faith without works is dead, and even though
he prayed for him, he didn't help him.) He then introduces skit number
four.
Skit 4: Nerd A comes
out and falls. Nerd B comes out, sees him lying there hurt, and goes over
to help. He looks at his watch and notices that he is late for church,
but stops and helps Nerd A anyway. He prays for him, and then helps him
to his feet and off the stage, telling him about Jesus.
The narrator then asks the
kids if that skit was a skit about love, and why was it a skit on love.
(It was love because he helped him all the way.) |
